I liked it very much, as he describes something we can all experience, a particular part of us much deeper than the mind.being.Called living in the now, of what it is that brings peace, a realizaton of being free.By letting it be.the mind , in stillness, it made me see that we are not our minds. This is not only great reading, theres two dvds included. It gives one the chance to get a feel for a great teaching from Eckard Tolle. We have a mind, but we aint it.Though we need intellect and feelings to function as human beings, hanging on to them can cause problems. That all things must pass.Be willing to let them go.It is by being still, let it be, that we can be able to have a recognition of what he is explaining about. He is a great writer and articulates well. Found it to be very engaging and interseting.I recommend it whole heartedly.
This is a beautiful DVD filled with the presence and silence of Eckhart Tolle's wisdom. However, he talks about how to do that in a world of madness, one that we all experience daily. Just watching him speak calmly, with wit and clarity, helps one to stay in the present moment. He always has a lot to say, even if it boils down to the idea of the power of NOW and being present in the moment. If you like Tolle, you will like this DVD, and if you have never seen him, you might just feel calmer afterwards. It's like watching a real-life "Yoda" with a British/German accent.
If you started with The Power Of Now, I highly recommend Eckhart Tolle's Findhorn Retreat: Stillness Amidst the World as the next step in your Eckhart Tolle audio journey. The content is lovely and there are additional messages here that are more that just paraphrasing The Power of Now.The only reason I removed a star is due to some of the feedback in the last 45 minutes or so of the recording and the muting and disconnected editing. Overall this has been a great audio book and I am glad I purchased it. If you are trying to decide between this one and Practicing The Power of Now I recommend Findhorn Retreat since Practicing is more of an abridged version of The Power of Now.
That makes sense because you don't want to be critical of yourself based on the past that you cannot change. I have read two books by Eckart Tolle- "Stillness", and "The Power of Now". I like the Findhorn Retreat. He talks about accepting the past to accept the present. I like it better than reading. You get Eckhart Tolle at a good price.
I am going to watch it again tonight. I also watched a DVD series set besides this one. I have watched this a few times. I liked how he talked about how that it's easy for us to complain, and that we often complain, so we can have a story to tell. He also talks about how people complain about their situations, but do nothing to change them. It's worth watching Eckhart Tolle a lot.
I like hearing a voice, though I am an avid reader.
Eckhart Tolle's Findhorn Retreat is a lovely experience of how being in the present moment can transcend time and space, using media tools. I am thankful to have this powerful resource for staying connected to deeper dimensions at my fingertips.
